Communication

In school, you’ve probably been taught something like this. The sender of the message is the encoder and must overcome noise for the message to get to the receiver.

I want to come up with my own system of communication. We’ll start with the sender/ messenger, but send the message where? To who? Anyone?

Part of the reason why I want to start over is to understand why people behave the way they do. Why do they do certain things. Why do they buy or sell things. Why do they say certain things.

Using the Hegelian move, events in history, situations, and encounters progress by “the labor of the negative.” This is the dialectic where events or situations must encounter each other to “progress.”

What we mean by the Hegelian move is that we know (as subjects) exactly where to send the message. Both stand in as subjects of space and time, the assailant encounters a receiver.

The assailant sends a message. An insult occurs as a result of a blockage of progess.

In this sense, the flow follows the enunciation: from the assailant to the receiver. A debt has accrued.

There’s a sense that the assailant is the one who is held responsible to impose the labor. The debt is collected.

There’s a reversal of roles for a moment. There’s a sense that the assailant is a receiver in the background. The message is more of a gift that’s intended to return.

There’s a contradiction. An attack is result of a blockage of a flow. An insult is an offer to progress the situation to a climax. But an altercation begins precisely because the flow was blocked.

How is it that a blockage of a flow can allow the same flow to progress into climax? Both bounce insults back and forth

Homogeneous Vs. Heterogeneous

In the homogeneous level, all productive transactions are fluid, fast, and efficient. The Heterogeneous is affective. So a slow or ineffective transaction will accrue at the customer’s expense.

Channel: Comparative environments

Value and quantity can be matched (=) in virtue of a code. And that code can be used as negative reinforcement to allow for faster, better, and more effective transactions.

Tending towards equilibrium

In comparative environments, A code allows for the matching of quantities to values match much easier, faster, and effective. These codes are called productive codes.

Cross-contamination

Codes from the productive surface can territorialize developed (finished procedural codes) surface and vice versa.

Commodity fetishism

Bad customer service is having to settle for productive codes instead of developed codes. The heterogeneous surface is asymptotic, meaning it tends towards infinity

Commodity fetishism

With every product, there the markup for the release of the sexual energy for the act of the purchase. When that energy is blocked because of failed expectation, a new form of energy is released. That of vengeance. This form of revenge is the lack of it. It is precisely because one doesn’t have it that makes it desirable. And what makes an encounter into an all out public freakshow is the inability to attain revenge.

The service industry as an indication of developed nations.

The service industry is an indication of developed nations, it is insulting to have to resort to productive overcodes. But, because the developed surface is rather vertical, it is impossible to reach it. Thus, hell really becomes other people when one can’t seem to find revenge, or the release of sexual energy by purchasing the marked up product.
